Postira is town with harbor located on the north coast of island Brac, well know with their factory of fish conservation. Near the town are some beautiful bays with beaches and pines trees.

The first information about a village are from 1347 under the name Postrena. Village was developed in 16th and 17th century when fugitives from inland and people from inland of island moved in. The renaissance palace, where writer Vladimir Nazor was born is located in harbor. The church of St. Ivan Krstitelj was built in 16th century. Original altar is only one staff which is still there. In the bay Lovrecina, on the east from village Postira are reminds of large basilica from 5th and 6th century.
